19/4/2017: Hard to believe that I am writing a blog after only a few days...! I had to step back for a moment to realize that. :) I sit here at my old MacBook writing this blog as my Mom needs my current one to book flights. I will talk more about that shortly. :) It's been an interesting couple of months with Tamagotchi to say the least. I find that I am not as good a caretaker as I was this time a year ago, and I've been running into bad luck more often with them lately. As talked about in the last blog, I have had two Morino Tamas pass away on me before even making it out of the cocoon. Well I had gotten my most recent morino up to 51mg before it went into the cocoon last night and I was ready for the next 24 hours. I left him in the heat all night while I slept, and then brought things down to the center again after I got to work this morning. Everything was going great! I was checking back and forth with Shawn and Matt to see that I was doing things right. I had the heat at about 3/4's of the meter at about 2:00 this afternoon when I went to check my Tama when... it happened.. I dropped my Morino on the floor and when I picked it up, the screen had vanished. There was nothing! Then it made a few weird beeps and I realized there was no saving it. :( I was soooooo mad. I waited till I got home to take the batteries out and put them back in again, and the Tama seems to be fine now. But man what bad luck to have with ONE Tama! I guess it could be worse tho right?! Better than Mimitchi dying on me. God that would be awful... So anyways after a very long day at work I came home and decided to take a nap. I restarted Morino before I laid down and fed and played with my little grub and dozed off for a half hour or so. Mom and I got some stir fry for us to eat when I woke up and I was starting to feel a little better about my day. Well.... Things got better after this. :) The mail man came to the door with a very unexpected package. Seriously!! I was not expecting this for at least another week yet, and I wasn't going to write about it until I got it in my possession, but I FINALLY got the very rare and gorgeous blue Yasashii Tamagotchi! Brand new in box, mint condition, and it works PERFECT!!!! Now this seriously made my night. I have been wanting this Tama for as long as I've been collecting, which is well over ten years now. I love my yellow Yasashii, but in my heart I was always meant to have the blue one, so you can definitely expect to see updates coming soon on the Yasashii pages. Hopefully some new characters and animations to come very soon. :) Oh yes I've had another death since the last time I wrote, Meramon on my blue/gray DigiMon passed away at 13 on Monday evening. I had been battling him with my Adarimon and for the most part Meramon was winning all battles. He did one final battle, won, and then the death toll beeps began... Poor guy was only 13... I still have my Adarimon who is 9 years old and quite easy to care for at the present. I hope he sticks around for a while because I have really been enjoying him. :) Heck if he sticks around for a while I might even hatch a second Digi! We shall see how the rest of the week goes I guess. :) So right now I am at a comfortable four Tamas running including Mimitchi Tama. He has been staying at home for the most part and I just play with him in the evenings. I've been too scared to bring him out with me lately simply because of all the bad luck I seem to be having with Tamas. I wouldn't be able to deal with it if anything happened to him. Work is a pretty safe place to have him so I might end up bringing him again at some point, but man I am paranoid lately.... I definitely am serious about my Tamas on a whole other level than most. :P I am having a quiet night in this evening. Last night I hung out with Matt and his friend China for a couple of hours till it was time for me to head home. Was nice to hang out.. Hoping for more fun times like that soon! Speaking of fun times! I will be going on a family trip this coming June for five days! We will be leaving on June 8th and returning June 13th. I will be flying up to Ontario with my Mom, Eileen and grandmother to meet the rest of the family for my cousins wedding. It should be a really fun time for sure. Mom is booking the tickets right now as we speak so there is no turning back now. :) Hmmmm..... So I took some time away from my blog and then decided to test out the old Yasashii to see that everything worked properly. I hatched, I played.... I kept it going. ;) I am not going to update the blogs page just yet for the Yasashii - I will see how things go until I get to the teen stage. That healthy teen is very tricky to get, and I know I'm not alone in that. Others have found it really hard to get! But I know it is possible because I've seen pictures. So now I am up to five Tamas hehehe... A lot can change in 20 minutes. So that is my Tamagotchi situation, as Kat always said. :) I am still raising my baby Yasashii through it's hour long neediness and then it is off for an early bed for me. Updates to come.....! |
