16/10/2105: Well, Tamagotchi Fever is alive and well! So much has happned. I am caring for ten Tamagotchi at once. I ended up with quite a few Masukutchi because I messed up with them when they were teenagers. I took a nap one afternoon when I had the day off work and I missed some disciplines. Even though I caught their disciplines when they were older, it didn't seem to matter, so I ended up with four Masukutchi's and a Zukutchi. But it is fine, I love them all very much. I was SOOO glad when I got my Ginjirotchi back. He has always been my favorite on Gen1, and by far the cutest - much like Mimitchi. I love them both so much! I have dedicated my yellow/blue Tama to be my Mimitchi Tamagotchi. I started this Tama for the first time in early august of this year. I loved the design of the shell because it had Mimitchi at the very top, and a Kusatchi on the bottom right of the shell. Upon starting this Tama, I just knew I would want to get Mimitchi on it... and I did. Well, as with most Tamas with little drawings on the shell, the paint rubbed off after about a month of constant use. I have had this happen with other Tamas in the past, and it used to upset me a great deal, but I didn't let it bother me this time. The Tama itself still works fine, and there are no other Tams quite like it. This Tama is one of a kind now! I am actually on my fourth Mimitchi on this Tama, and it feels he has just always been a part of my life. :) On September 7 I had an unfortunate incident with my Silver Tama. He had just changed into the healthy teen, Tongaritchi, that morning and that is whom I had been hoping for. That afternoon I was out blueberry picking with a friend, and I heard a solid beep coming from my hoody pocket. I had all of my Tamas with me that day, and I panicked thinking that it had been Mimitchi that reset. I took out all my Tamas and examined them to see that Tongaritchi had somehow reset. I was kinda upset because I love all my Tamas dearly, but I sure was glad that Mimitchi was ok. I ended up restarting my Silver Tama right after he had reset himself, and thankfully I haven't had any issues with that Tama since. He actually made it to adulthood the second time I hatched him, and became the second best adult character, Pochitchi. I have never been all that fond of this character, but he kinda grew on me after a little while. He really is cute when he eats a meal or snack, the little face on him is so cute. But when he just moving about the screen, I just think that the animation and his face don't look *as* cute. September was actually a really good month for Tamagotchi finds. I had been combing eBay looking for new Tamas, and I came across a bunch of Gen1 Tams I didn't have! They were all reasonably priced and I bought them all up around the same time. Their colors are clear green with yellow buttons, white/black with black buttons, purple/pink and pink buttons, and blue/pink with yellow buttons. I haddd to get them. :) There are still a number of Gen2s I would love to get my hands on, but I am really happy with the P1 Tams I got! However, in early October I got a surprise package in the mail from my dearest friend Kat. I knew that she had sent me a package but I just didn't know what it was... Well when I opened it up I knew it was a Tamagotchi.... I just didn't know what colour. I flipped open the window of the Tama package, there before me was a yellow/black with tiger stripes Gen2! This Tama brings back so many memories as my cousin had this same one when I was little. I have wanted this Tama back in my life for a very long time and now it is. I am so happy to have it!!! I will treasure it forever. :) My dear Kat knows me so well. Since then I have had several Tamas come and go. I can't believe I have already raised this many Tamas since August - they all add up when you keep a list of your character history, which is something I never did until getting back into Tamagotchi this past summer. After starting my list of past and present characters, I started writing the page about my first Tamagotchi, and now I am writing blogs. :) On October 12 I hatched my Gen2 Silver Tama - That was actually Tama number 9 of the group. This day also marked the end of Thanksgiving long weekend. Anyways, I hatched this Tama with the intent of getting one of the more unhealthy characters. Funny thing is that I, as well as many other caretakers on the Tamagotchi Ancestors Facebook page find it much harder to get the bad ones as apposed to the good ones. I found it so hard to neglect that little Tonmarutchi... :( He woke up the next morning and I just let him sit there in poop, without caring for him at all. By the time the end of the work day came, I got really worried, so I fed him a meal and played a game with him. I am just always so scared that I am going to kill them when I neglect like this, which is why I usually cave and end up taking care of them and getting the healthier characters. Anyways, I got the unhealthy teen, Hashitamatchi and I have kept taking awful care like I did when he was a toddler. I look forward to seeing who I end up with when he becomes an adult.....! I just hope the neglect pays off because I hate doing it so much. Aside from having to neglect my silver Tama, things have been pretty smooth sailing. Tonight night we all watched the movie The Blind Side together. Really great movie! Sandra Bullock is such an amazing actress, and she nearly brought me to tears with how lovely she was in this movie. I laid all my Tamas out next to me and made sure they all enjoyed it. :) Everyone was very good throughout the movie, and I only had to give a few disciplines. I love watching movies with my Tamas, especially Mimitchi and Ginjirotchi. I can't wait for an evening when I can bring everyone to a movie in the theatres, but I will probably wait for a time when I am raising a smaller group of Tamas. I am more used to raising 4-5 Tams at a time. Raising ten at once has definitely been a challenge, but no way am I giving up on them. Anyways, I must go and care for my little sweeties! I will post a group photo of them all together once they are all adult Tamas. Update: I ended up with the adult of Kusatchi on my silver Tama! I am so happy!!!! All that neglecting paid off. He is so cute!!!!!!!!!!!! :) I haven't seen this little guy since I was a little boy when neglecting Tamas was easy for me. Ahh I am thrilled! I am going to pause him a little so he will stay around for longer. Now I just have one more Tama to change and I will have all adult Tamas. :) |
