August 2021
Part 7
|
Sunday, August 1, 2021: I feel like August has gotten off to a better start than June and July did. I still have Busker on pause, but today I decided to hatch another Tamagotchi. It is my purple and pink 2018 P1! I've named her Deena after one of my favorite Animal Crossing characters. :) I have little experience with the 2017/2018 P1/P2 Tamas so it will be a surprise as to what adult I get. So far I have only managed to get Mametchi, Ginjirotchi and Masukutchi on the newly released versions. I have yet to get the unhealthy teen or anything below the "average" character. I am taking good care of little Deena so far! I know that these ones are sensitive to things like over-feeding and snacks....! I also know that these Tams ask for *way* more discipline calls than that of the 1997 Tams. That being said, Deena has not yet made any selfish calls. So far in her short life, Deena has gotten to see two episodes of "Making a Murderer" and got to take in the fire works show on both Animal Crossing games. :-) She also came up to the store with us earlier as a babitchi to get ice-cream and chocolate!
Tuesday, August 3, 2021: Things are going well with Deena so far. :) She is still in the Marutchi stage and as I remember from 2019, she has asked for way more disciplines than a 1997 Tam. Funny thing is was she didn't ask for her first discipline until last night after almost a full day. Since then she has called at least 6 times and gotten sick twice. I made some time for Busker, my old Ginjirotchi and it's truly evident that the 1997 models are different than the 2018 ones. I'm going to go in search of some more 2018 models this week....! I think they sell them down at Chapters bookstore. A friend of mine told me to go and check their website so I will most likely do that tonight. I had a really good appointment with my GP today and Deena stayed in my pocket on pause briefly. I didn't mention that I am keeping her in a pink 1997 hard case. :-D Tonight I'll be starting on a new medication (Gabapentin) and I am very hopeful it is going to help me with what I'm going through right now -- more on that in the coming days/weeks.
Wednesday, August 4, 2021: Deena is still a Marutchi and has asked for at least 3 more disciplines since I last wrote here. The next time I hatch a 2017 P1/P2, I am going to keep count of the discipline calls, sick times, etc... I am also going to run two at the same time and see if discipline times differ from one Tam to the next... There is definitely a lot more mystery to these Tamagotchi and I am ready to experiment with it. :-) I'm actually really excited to get started on this. I'm going to just go with the flow raising Deena and see who I end up with. It has always been a surprise. As I look at my Tamagotchi history page, Deena is my 268th Tamagotchi that I've hatched since I have started keeping track in August of 2015. Of those 268 hatched Tamas, only 11 of those have been 2017/18 P1/P2 Tamas... So I have *very* little experience or knowledge of how they are programed. I'm excited to take on this project and will write all about it here. :)
Thursday, August 5, 2021: Deena passed away today in the Marutchi stage at age 5. I had a feeling this was going to happen. :-( I restarted her once again and I'm sticking with the name Deena. So she is back in the Marutchi stage and I think things are going well so far. She asked for two disciplines this afternoon/evening which she didn't do last time until almost a full day passed. I hope I have better luck with this one! I was not a happy camper when I found her dying this afternoon at all. More to come on how things go!
Saturday, August 7, 2021: Deena the 2nd seems to be doing just fine. She has asked for a total of five disciplines so far and I expect a couple more before (if) she changes into the teen stage. I still can't get over that she died on me like that on Thursday!!! Anyways she has been taking part in pretty much everything I've been doing. I took her with me to my cousins birthday gathering last night, but I actually paused her and kept her in my pocket, in her protective case. I didn't want to risk another death! Today she has been out and about with me in the car and experiencing the high temperatures we are having. I am so thankful to have an air conditioning unit in my car and in the bedroom!!!! Right now we are spending time in the bedroom browsing the internet and playing AC on the 3DS. :-) Time well spent I say! Update: Deena changed into a Tamatchi earlier this evening! YES!!! Her discipline meter is now down to 50% (half full) and she drops hearts even less frequently now. I am going to keep track of how many disciplines I give her in the teen stage. So far nothing...! She is keeping a similar sleep schedule to me, waking up at 12pm each day.
Tuesday, August 10, 2021: Deena continues to be in good health! I fully disciplined her to 100% and then she asked for an extra discipline (125%) this evening. I am very curious as to who she will become in adulthood! I am going to experiment with the discipline in the future and ignore some calls to see if it has any effect on what character I get. For now I am just enjoying the mystery that I used to feel with my 1997 P1/P2 Tamas. As much as I love my 1997 originals, there is no longer any mystery to them. I have my work cut out for me with these 2018 Tamas. :-) Deena has been getting to watch along to a lot of YouTube videos: "Dr. Phil" and "Unsolved Mysteries" this evening. Sometimes I just get lost in these things. I am also keeping her sleep schedule similar to mine for the time being. I am just having a hard time getting up early these past few weeks but I'm going to make some changes there soon.
Thursday, August 12, 2021: Deena changed into a Mametchi when she woke up yesterday morning. :-) I gave her an extra discipline as a Tamatchi so I will see how this effects my next run of a 2018 Tama. I am very happy to have gotten the best adult, and unlike the 1997 version, Mametchi doesn't seem to be as hard to win the which way game with....!
Saturday, August 14, 2021: Deena has been watching along to the HBO docu-series "The Lady and The Dale". It has been an excellent watch and we still have one episode left to watch (ther are only 4 episodes). I had been wanting to see an in depth story of this ever since I saw Elizabeth Carmichael on an old episode of "Unsolved Mysteries" from 1989, that Matthew and I watched last summer. Some of the stuff in it made me really sad, but other parts were good... I know she did some bad things, but I just really liked her as a woman, and a person. That's just my two cents. I've been talking with Shawn and I think we are going to hatch our 2018 P2 Tams together. I have a battery put in my white/green with character cartoons painted on the shell Tama. I want to give it the same care, if not *better* than I gave Deena and get a Mimitchi. I was going to hatch it today but I just haven't had time. Tomorrow I get my second Covid-19 shot so I don't know when I will get around to starting it up. Either way, it is on my bedside table now and ready when I am. :-)
Tuesday, August 17, 2021: I've been completely out of commission since late Sunday evening. I had my second Covid shot and I got really tired and achey. It lasted all the way until bedtime last night when I finally fell asleep. Thankfully Deena was easy to care for. And since the last time I wrote, I hatched my 2018 P2 Tama. Roald was born on the afternoon of the 15th, just shortly after I got my shot. Roald is a Tonmarutchi who asked for two extra disciplines today! I can't remember if Deena asked for that many disciplines when she was a Marutchi or not.... I'm taking perfect care of Roald in hopes that I get a Mimitchi!!
Friday, August 20, 2021: Deena and Roald continue in good health. Deena is 16 today and I'm beginning to notice she is a little more demanding than she was yesterday. Roald is the healthy teen, Tongaritchi but I expect a full change into adulthood very soon. I *really* hope I get a Mimitchi! The Tams have been watching for the last half hour of thunder and lightening! We even lost power.... so I'm using the cellular data from my iPhone to write this. :-) Gotta love it!! As for activities, they've gotten to watch Shawn and I play long sessions of Stardew Valley together online -- So much fun! It is even more fun playing Co-op!
Wednesday, August 25, 2021: Deena is 21 years/days of age and very demanding. She was sick shortly after the last post that I made and has gotten increasingly needy since then. Roald, on the other hand, is completely the opposite at only 11 years of age. He changed into a Mimitchi on Saturday!! I was so happy to finally get Mimitchi on a 2017/2018 P2. :-) I expect him to live a long life like Deena has so far! I don't know how much longer Deena will stay around but I plan to take the best care possible so I can see how long I can keep her around. I only started to pause her yesterday during times when I am too busy to take care of her. |
