Sunday, October 1, 2023:  is off to a great start for us! I have the autumn scented candles and the Halloween lights lit tonight, and I've had AMC Fear Fest going all day in the background.  Devilgotchi changed into the next stage at 7:12pm, the little joker--Pukudebitchi is his name!  I love this character, and it will give me either a Debrumametchi or Debirudori, the little bird character who can evolve into the King Deviltchi -- the only character I've not yet gotten.  I also still have little Irene the Mametchi on my P1, age 11.  I don't know if I want to continue running my Uni Tamagotchi right now as I don't really have the interest.  I bought it on a whim, and Shawn is sad I haven't explored it more and given it a better chance.  The new color Tams really don't interest me all that much sadly...! But I am glad I purchased the Uni. :-) We will see what the future holds with the newest Tams for me.  I am planning on raising a Tamagotchi Connection V4 very soon as it is the next one in that series for me to raise.  I didn't have much experience with the V3 but enough that I am content to move onto the V4. I also really love the color design V4 I have--blue with swirls!  When I do hatch the V4 I've decided that I am going to write about it here in Ginji's Journal and not over in the Tamagotchi Connection section.  It's been years since I've written over there and I'm comfortable doing all my writing here (for now anyway).

Tuesday, October 3, 2023: Lots to write about! Last night I hatched my brand new Tamagotchi Connection V4. :-) This is a hatching that is long overdue, having had *a lot* of experience with the V1 and V2 Tams.  I did raise many V3's but they aren't documented here on this website (I raised one way back in my high school days).  I bought this particular V4 sometime in 2007 when it was available in stores.  I've always loved the color and design of this Tama and knew that one day I'd be ready to take on the V4--it only took 16 years! ;-P I opened it from the packaging yesterday afternoon and luckily there was no damage or corrosion inside.  The original battery still worked fine. The Tama has that new plastic smell that I remember the other Connections having. :-D  Last night we were just relaxing at home as usual, watching scary movies on AMC and I decided it was the perfect time to hatch.  I got a girl and named her Lily! She was the little Tsubutchi character from Mesu/Osu as a baby and then changed into the child character from Mesu/Osu, Harutchi. Soo incredibly wonderful to be seeing these little faces again. :-) I think I am off to a good start with Lily.  I've been playing a ton of jump-rope with her and earning points.  She's also been attending preschool, asking for disciplines, eating snacks (so I can play the games). I've just been taking overall really good care of her.  Soon she will be an adult and go to work! :-o It feels SO good to be raising a Tamagotchi Connection again.  I forgot how charming and cute they are!  Something else to mention is the fact that I am raising 4 Tamagotchi's all from completely different decades: Devilgotchi (1998), V4 (2006), P1 remake (2017), and the Tamagotchi Uni (2022).

Wednesday, October 4, 2023: Lily, my V4 Tam is thriving! I have her intelligence score all the way up to 100! Let me backtrack a little...This morning at 9AM Lily changed into a Young Mimitchi after waking up.  The teen stage opened up 3 new mini-games that contribute to 3 different skills.  I am still learning about things but doing so without referring to the instruction manual.  Shawn has told me a number of tips and I am just trying to take everything in. :-) I feel like my other Tams are suffering because I am just so in love with my V4 right now!  I hope to run this V4 for *many* generations like I did my V1/2/3 Tams! I am so excited. :-D I have a little roller skate charm attached to my V4!  Devilgotch is still in the Pukudebutchi teen stage and I am keeping the DP as close to 90 without going over ever.  I am really hoping for Devil Mametchi. :-) The Tams have been watching the "Nightmare on Elm Street" movies all afternoon while I took a small nap.  Then Matthew had stir fry cooked when I woke up--so delicious!

Thursday, October 5, 2023: Eeeeek! Irene, my P1 Mametchi passed away this evening at the age of 15.  I stopped playing games with her days ago, and resorted to feeding snacks, which I know for a fact shortens the remake Tams lives.  Oh well, at least she died full and happy... I won't be raising another P1/P2 right now as I am busy with other Tams, like my V4 Lily!  I've gotten her intelligence skills up to 136!  I'm not sure what the highest IQ is for the V4 Tams... I've just been playing lots of the "Shape" game with her and earning points for cool items!  Other than that not much to report with the V4.  She won't be able to work until she is a full grown adult. :-)

Saturday, October 7, 2023: Eeee! :-) Lily changed into a Mimitchi shortly after 7pm last night.  All that good care and playing the Shapes game paid off!  Now, I am anxiously awaiting her to get a job interview.  With her high skill points and smarts, she won't have any issue landing a job. :-D I am loving the V4!  I still can't believe I am finally running it after alllll these years.  My Devilgotchi is still in the Pukudebitchi stage but I expect a change into adulthood anytime now!  I've been keeping the Devil Power on the high side without going over 90.  I really hope I get Devil Mametchi and then that cute little secret character -- I've only had her once before.  Last night the Tams all got to watch "The Exorcist" on AMC.  I was thankful it was the cut version since it was just so darn gross at parts. :-/  I think we will watch something a little more fun and cute, like "Hocus Pocus" or "Halloween town" this weekend.

Video game wise: I've slowly been playing through "The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds" and doing daily check-ins for ACNL.  Other than that not a whole lot.  I wish Nintendo would release "Mario Party 3" for Switch Online already!?!  I am really not sure what the future holds for Switch fans, but I'd say we will see a new system coming in the next couple of years...!  I still have so much catching up to do in other areas so I am in no rush for this. :-)

7:35PM: Lily got a job just shortly after 7pm as a news reader!  I am currently trying to get the hang of the mini-game. :-) Shawn said I'll get my paycheck tomorrow! :-D This is just so cute! Having this V4 going is getting me thinking about all my other Connections.  I gotta pace myself, or I will be running 10 Tamagotchi at once again like I did way back in 2016. :-P Not that it would be a bad thing mind you. I'm really interested in running my V3 since I didn't experience more than a few generations of it in my teens.

Sunday, October 8, 2023: My little Lily earned over 2000 gotchi points from her TV anchor job!  She went to work several more times today so I am looking forward to seeing how many more points she gets tomorrow!  I got Devil Mametchi today on my Devilgotchi! Now I will see if I can get that cute little secret character. :-) I've been so occupied with my V4 that I am surprised I managed to get the best adult on Devilgotch.

This afternoon I took the journey with V4 a step further by hatching the Japanese counterpart to the V4, the Entama!  I purchased this Tamagotchi way back in 2009 along with a Tama Suku, Uratama, and Keitai Aki--all of which I plan to raise now in the coming months/years! :-D  Since this is a Japanese Tama, I won't actually be using the Japanese naming system and just referring to this Tama by the name of Entama. According to the growth chart that Shawn sent me, I have the child character in the kuchi-group family! I see differences in the V4 and Entama already.  I'm looking forward to raising them at the same time.  I think I like my US V4 best but I am enjoying my Japanese version too. :-)

TONIGHT I hatched a Tamagotchi Connection V3 that I had used briefly over a decade ago.  I downloaded a Gen1 teen named Stany from 2013! (I must have gotten that name from a "Sex and The City" character :-D) I am going to regret hatching so many Connections but I just can't help myself.  I have Tamagotchi Connection fever for sure!!! I thought about downloading some V1's and V2's as well, but I have enough experience with those ones. I am up to 3 Tam Connections running now! So much fun!

Wednesday, October 11, 2023: Lily is absolutely thriving!  Not only is she a successful career woman but she is also a mother of a baby boy now.  Yes, the matchmaker arrived yesterday morning at 10:30 and I accepted!  I will miss my little Mimitchi, but I am excited to raise a new generation on the V4.  I'm not sure if Lily will leave the baby tonight or tomorrow... As for the others, Entama changed into a Young Dorotchi last night and Stany changed into a Pyonkotchi -- a Mesutchi (female) character... I guess anything goes gender wise for the V3. :-) I am debating downloading my V1 and V2, but I already have my hands full.  I am glad to be raising all of these Connection Tams at once because I can figure out which one I love the best, and I can truthfully say it is the American V4!  Absolutely LOVE it! I really needed a change from raising my vintage Tams.  Speaking of which, my Devilgotchi is still a Devil Mametchi and I am keeping the DP as close to 0 as possible in hopes of getting the cute little secret character. :-)

I was chatting with Erem (Ra Tamazone) this morning and we are going to be looking into doing some trades!  I have a black/red flames V4.5 and a brown cookie dough V5 brand new in box that he is willing to trade with me for colors/designs I want.  I don't like these two colors that I have AT ALL.  Being that these are so expensive in 2023, and I only have one of each, a trade for a color of equal value will be the best route for me to take.  I am so glad to be part of the Tamagotchi community and have people I can trust to do these kinds of trades with. :-) More on this in days/weeks to come! I'm not ready to raise those versions yet, but I really want to get nice colors!!

Maria came over the other evening and brought along a ton of Wii and GameCube games for me to borrow, but sadly no Mario Party! I am going to have to spend some money if I want to get the Mario Party for GC versions. :-/  I tried out "The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker" for GC and I think I will enjoy it.  It felt so strange to be playing a game with a corded controller!!! :-D

Thursday, October 12, 2023: Lily left her son behind last night and I was awake EARLY this morning (insomnia was bad last night :-/).  I named her son Niko and he is a little Harutchi now--the same child character I had in Gen1. I *think* I will get a different teen character this time since I have a male! Niko has been playing in his toy house and slide that I got from passwords (thanks Shawn!), eating different foods and playing *lots* of jump-rope! I can't wait to see who I get character wise in this generation. The V4 is completely brilliant and even more fun than the V3!

Stany is still waiting for a visit from the matchmaker, and Entama is still a young dorotchi! I am not sure how long I will keep these ones running--maybe a couple of generations, maybe more...!  I am not sure if I will get the secret character or not on my Devilgotch.

Friday, October 13, 2023: It's Friday the 13th, eekk! So far we haven't had any bad luck ::knock on wood::. Niko changed into a Young Mametchi at 9am this morning, and the Matchmaker made a visit to Stany at 3pm, bringing him a memetchi who gave him a baby boy! Yay!  I can't wait to see who I get next generation on my V3.  I am not enjoying the Entama as much as I thought I would due to the fact that I read no Japanese and I'm having trouble with matching the translations on the screen shots that Shawn sent me. I will keep the Entama going for a little while, but I don't think it will be long-term.

Sunday, October 15, 2023: My Entama changed into her adult form yesterday! She is a sweet looking little character named Sebiretchi. She belongs to the "Kuchi group"! Sooo cute! Stany left his son behind last night and I'm currently raising his baby boy who I named Nate.  There seems to be a lot more mystery to the V3's unlike the V4 which depends on skill points and such to determine which characters you get. :-)

Last night while I was playing with my Devil Mametchi she asked to shake hands and then immediately changed into the secret character, Kuridebitchi! I haven't had this character since January 2017!! I only need to get one more character on the Devilgotchi (King Deviltchi) but I don't think I am going to raise another Devilgotchi this year.  I want to keep this Devilgotch in the best condition possible so I can cherish it in years to come.

Nate changed into a Mohitamatchi! And shortly after that Niko changed into a Mametchi--the new one that I've never had before.  He is actually really cute! :-) I can't wait to see what kind of job Niko ends up with! His skill points are high so I expect nothing but the best from him. :-) I will update tomorrow as to what job he gets.

Monday, October 16, 2023: Lots to talk about again today! First off, Nate changed into a Hikotchi, that sweet little guy from Gen2 of Osutchi! I am so pleased to be reunited with this little guy once again. He is considered a healthy teen on the V3 so I am pleased with that. This afternoon Niko got a job as a scientist!  It took me a couple of tries to figure out the mini game job but I get it now.  It is even easier than the news anchor job that I had in the last generation. :-) Hopefully Niko can work hard and get some good pay checks! :-D  I am going to pause all of my Tams this evening when we go over to my Mom's to celebrate her and my aunts birthday!  There will be a lot of people there and I just know my Tams would get neglected, so they are going to stay here with Binks, the gerbils, and all the fish.  :-)  I am going to get Niko to work as much as possible before he becomes a father!

Tuesday, October 17, 2023: Last night I was laying in bed playing the scientist mini game with Niko and then he changed into a secret character! I couldn't believe it! My Mametchi is now Tensaitchi--a little scientist with goggles. :-D So cute! Niko got his paycheck today: 2080 gotchi points! I brought Niko with me volunteering this morning, but the rest of the group stayed at home on pause.

The battery on my Entama died this evening, but it started with the Tama resetting 4 times before the battery failure flashing sign came on.  At first I was worried my Entama was malfunctioning, but I am pretty sure it was just low battery.  I had to make a trip over to Dollarama to buy batteries. I wasn't able to find the *exact* ones (CR2023).  I got CR2025's instead and they seem to be working so far ::knock on wood::. I will get my stash of batteries next time I am at Moms place.

Thursday, October 19, 2023: I didn't sleep well last night so this will be quick: Niko and Entama had visits from the matchmaker this morning! :-) Niko has a baby girl and Entama a baby boy! :-D Yay! I am still waiting for Nate to change into adulthood, and Devilgotch is still here. I can't wait to start raising my next generations of Tams! I'm having so much fun with these Connection Tams.

9:08PM: Nate changed into a Debitchi! I had this buck-toothed little guy on my V2 a lot and it's great to see him on the V3. :-)  Niko has been BUSY working today and I'd say he will get a good paycheck tomorrow! All the tams got to watch two episodes of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (season 2) this evening and now we are watching an episode of "Friends" (season 5).

Saturday, October 21, 2023: Well, Devilgotchi passed away a good death this morning at the age of 24! I am glad I was able to keep her around for as long as I did, considering I was giving most of my attention to my Connection Tams. :-)  I will be taking the batteries out of my Devilgotch and putting it away for another year.  Bye-bye little Devilgotch, until next time!

Niko and Entama left their daughter and son last night so I had my work cut out for me this morning. I named Niko's daughter Buffy, and Entama is nameless. I don't have the energy to put into using the Japanese naming chart hehe.  Buffy is now a Harutchi and Entama is a child I've not yet had and can't identify the name yet. I'm going to play the 3rd game down with Entama now that I know how to play it. :-) This will ensure I get a different adult this time.

I downloaded my Keitai Kaitsu Tamagotchi this afternoon! I hatched this one way back in 2019 but never got very far with it. It's currently a gen1 in the teen stage as a Ringotchi!  I also want to download one of my V1 and V2 Connections when I dig them out next!  I have a lot of ideas in mind for my Tamagotchi Connection section of the website. I'd like to make a little individual page for my V3, V4, Entama, and the Keitai! I sadly let the Connection section go years back and stopped updating my character history on my V1's and V2's.... A project for another day maybe. :-)

So as of this Saturday we have Buffy (blue swirls V4), Nate (clear soda V3), Entama, and Keitai! I always color coded the names of my Connection Tams in my older blogs--an idea I got from Elana many moons ago. :-) Nate is the only one left awake now as of 8:48PM!

Sunday, October 22, 2023: Buffy, my V4 Tam changed into a Young Mimitchi this morning! I am playing the flag game with her so I get something other than Mimitchi for my adult. Flag is a lot of fun and I'm getting good at it! It adds points to the third skill down on the screen, the one with the little flower.  Shawn wanted to give me a hint as to which adult I'd be getting but I wouldn't let him--I want it to be a surprise. :-) Oh yes, I spent 28,000 gotchi points on a piano today!!! I am so excited to use it once Buffy is grown!

I've downloaded two more Connection Tamas! There is no way I will actually be able to blog about 6 Tams like I did back in the old days but I'll give it my best shot. I have a purple V1 Hanatchi named Gobe with a baby girl and a red jelly bean V2 Memetchi named Chae with a baby girl--I think I must have connected the two of these Tams and married them years back. :-) It's been so long that I'd have to look back in my old entries to know for sure. I missed running the V1 and V2 so much!

I'm still waiting on a matchmaker visit for little Nate on the V3. He is 6 years of age now so his big moment is definitely coming soon! Entama is still in the child stage and Keitai is still a Ringotchi!

In chronological order of release we have Purple V1, Keitai , Red Jelly Bean V2, Clear Soda V3, Entama, and Blue Swirls V4! They are like steps of the stairs of their release dates in the photo below; left to right; top to bottom. :-) It feels good to be raising so many Tams again!

Monday, October 23, 2023: This morning when I got up, Chae's daughter was all alone on the screen, but Gobe didn't leave thankfully (I love little Hanatchi). I named the new baby Kris! I am taking kind of bad care of her with the hope of getting a Whaletchi adult-form! :-D I believe I've only had that character once since it is exclusive to the V2, and I find it hard to neglect my Tams.  Then at 10:30am the matchmaker came for Nate and brought him a Sekirotchi (series 1 p2 Japanese secret character); they had a baby boy. I'll be able to raise a V3 baby within a couple of days! Yay!

THEN this afternoon I missed my Japanese Tams changing! First Entama changed into young Mametchi and then Keitai became a Memetchi. Little Buffy is still a young Mimitchi and I can't wait to see who she becomes when she grows up. :-) I still won't let Shawn give me any hints, hehe! Gosh, maybe I'm better at writing about multiple Tams than I give myself credit for. ;-D

Wednesday, October 25, 2023: Yesterday Gobe left so I raised his daughter Cordl into a lovely little Marutchi. This afternoon Cordl changed into an Oniontchi! I am keeping her happy hearts full and letting her go hungry in the hope I get Androtchi, the cute robot character. :-) Kris, my V2 is also an Oniontchi! I am still taking bad care of her. The best part of yesterday was when Buffy changed into her adult form. She is now a Marotchi, but she looks nothing like a P1 child. She resembles a Japanese Okame mask. I took a nice photo of her that I posted to my instagram page but I am going to post it here as well.  (Click image to the right to see it larger. :-)

This morning Nate left his little boy behind and I named him Bean! He is a Mizutamatchi now and I'm so happy to have someone else from osu/mesu! I am taking bad care of this guy as well. Unfortunately it is the only way I will see some new characters on these Connection Tamas, especially on the V2 and V3.

This afternoon Buffy got a job as a travel guide! Yay! :-) Let the gotchi points flow in!

Thursday, October 26, 2023: This morning my Entama changed into an Androtchi! I had no idea the robot character was on this version but I am happy to see him. :-) Shortly after that, Bean changed into a Pirolirotchi from the osutchi. He looks like a little Christmas tree! They sure used a lot of characters from osu/mesu on the V3! I've been connecting Bean and Cordl quite a bit and building a friendship between them. It's been a long time since I mated Connection Tams and they are a boy/girl pair. :-D

I paused everyone except Buffy this afternoon when I went out to lunch with a friend! Oh yes, Buffy got quite the hefty paycheck this morning--nearly 5000 gotchi points! That travel guide job sure is paying off. :-) I expect Cordl and Kris (the two oniontchi) to become adults by this weekend, and a matchmaker visit for my Keitai!

This afternoon we got word that "Mario Party 3" will be added to Switch Online by tomorrow! So exciting!! The Tams will be watching quite a bit of gaming this weekend.  Tonight they are watching as Matthew carves our yearly Halloween pumpkin.

Saturday, October 28, 2023: Kris changed into a Whaletchi yesterday just like I had been hoping for! I can't remember if I had this character back in the old days or not but I'm really glad to have her now. :-) She is an unhealthy character so she drops hearts faster than the healthy adults but I am only too happy to tend on her.  The matchmaker came for Keitai yesterday and now there's a baby girl with Memetchi.

Buffy got her visit from the matchmaker this morning and now she has a baby girl! I've gotten really good at the travel guide job and earning some nice gotchi points along the way.  Now I am waiting for Cordl and Bean to change into adulthood.  I've been connecting them a fair amount and I'd say they will easily make babies later in life. :-)

The Tams have been watching me play a lot of "Mario Party 3" on the switch!! (so much fun!!) I finally understand story mode now and going to play it that way when I am solo. I played two player online with Maria last night, and Brandon wants to come over soon and play with us.  We've been waiting for this to come for months now, but it was well worth the wait. :-D More on this game as I play it.

We are getting things ready for our spare room. The roommate is in the process of moving out this weekend! We are going to convert that room into a computer room/den to play games and watch movies. We have a brand new love seat that converts into a fold out bed coming next week and it's going to look so good.  I am also going to be storing my Tamagotchi and virtual pet collection in that room! I am so excited for us to have the place back to ourselves again. :-D

Sunday, October 29, 2023: I never got around to updating again last night since I got very tired early in the evening.  Cordl changed into a Tarakotchi which I wasn't expecting but it's good to see hir again. :-) It wasn't until today that Bean finally changed into his adult form (the V3's seem to take longer to evolve than the V1/2/4). He is now a Paparatchi, a rather ugly character in my opinion. :-P Nonetheless, Cordl and Bean will continue working up a romance and eventually have babies. I think they are a match made in heaven, hehe.

I deactivated my Keitai this morning when I saw that Memetchi had left her baby behind. I will raise that little baby sometime in the future when I want to revisit the Keitai again. That's the great thing about Connection Tams is that you can pick up where you left off whenever you want.  The Keitai is a lovely little Tama but I've seen all the characters on that growth chart before many times over in other Connection versions. So now I am down to five active Tams!

The roommate is in the process of moving out so I have Binks penned in the bedroom for the time being.  I am here hanging out with him just in case he needs to get out and use his litter box. Once we are living on our own again it is going to be soooo nice!

Monday, October 30, 2023: Buffy left her baby girl last night and now I'm raising a little harutchi named Annie! I am taking bad care of her so I will get something else besides a young mimitchi. Shawn said it's quite common to get stuck with the same child/teens in the V4/V4.5. I wonder who I will get this time!?

The matchmaker arrived for Kris at 3pm and brought her a takotchi. They had a baby girl! Looking forward to seeing who I get next on my V2. I am still so happy I finally managed to get the whaletchi. :-)

Busy busy busy cleaning the spare room (the roommate finally moved out) and getting it ready for the new love seat and entertainment system. :-D I already got my desk and laptop setup in here by the window like I always wanted.  There will be lots of little Tams and video games played in here!

Tuesday, October 31, 2023: Happy Halloween!!! This morning I slept in which I haven't done in a while. The Tams were very good while I slept till way past 11am. Entama left her baby girl behind and I'm taking bad care now in hopes of getting an itchigotchi teen. Annie changed into a young memetchi just before noon! I am trying to decide what adult I want and switching back and forth between the shapes and flag game. :-)

We will be getting ready shortly to go down to Mom's for the day and do laundry. Then we are going to stick around for the trick r' treaters! :-D I will definitely be bringing Annie and the rest of the group. Oh yes, Cordl and Bean are very much in love.  I foresee babies coming anytime. Kris is still with her baby but I think she will be leaving tonight...! I finish this months entry with a photo of Cordl with the Halloween pumpkin--an animation I don't believe I remember seeing back in the day. :-D
