December 2020
Part 1
|
Wednesday, December 9, 2020: Ginjirotchi, my clear green Tamagotchi P1 of 18 years has become more demanding. I've been busy playing games such as "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" and "Stardew Valley" on my Nintendo Switch so I've stooped to feeding snacks with the poor guy. Tedsy, my Komputer Koala (GigaPet) on the other hand is very easy to care for. He will be 20 years old tomorrow and so long as I can keep his health above 95 then he will live a long and happy life. I put Tedsy to bed just shortly after 9PM as I read that is when all GigaPet's are supposed to go to bed. Ginji has been here watching "Married with Children" while I am doing *alot* of fishing on "Stardew Valley". They have both gotten to watch me play a lot of Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley the last number of days.
Thursday, December 10, 2020: Ginjirotchi finally passed away today at the old age of 19. Though he was really much older than that.... I hatched that clear green Tama sometime in June. I feel bad that I paused him for so long but I've been all over the place with Tamagotchi and Virtual pets in general for years now. I don't have the same stamina that I used to have for them.... But I still love them all very much and will continue to do what I can with this webpage. On the GigaPet front: Tedsy, my Komputer Koala is in tip top form at the age of 20 years old. Since GigaPet's don't pause, Tedsy comes everywhere with me. We had an early start today and had to bring my Mom and Grandmother to a doctors appointment. Then we went and picked up prescriptions at Dominion pharmacy, followed by collecting Donald's Christmas gift (Animal Crossing) from the Game Exchange. (I got it brand new since I want his experience to be as perfect as mine as been. :)) Oh yes, and before that we dropped Christmas cards off at Tori's mailbox! So Tedsy got to take part in a lot of driving around today and he barely needed any attention at all. This evening he has watched in on my usual daily doses of Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing. :-)
Sunday, December 13, 2020: Tedsy is still doing great! He has been taking part in the holiday experience. Tonight he came with me to a family gathering over at my aunt's house and he was no trouble at all. I only had to excuse myself to go to the bathroom once to take care of his needs. His health and happiness only dropped to 99 which I thought was amazing. He is extremely patient and well behaved! We drank wine and ate finger foods before the Chinese food was delivered and then we sat around and sang Christmas songs. Tedsy got to take part in all of it it from my pocket. :) If all goes well then he will be able to take part in Matt's birthday party this Wednesday evening. I may also hatch another Tam before then....! I brought my white/green/red P2 Tam/Tam2 from my Mom's house (which was the first ever Tamagotchi I got back in 1997). I am thinking this is the perfect one to hatch for the holiday season. :) I think it will pair perfectly with my GigaPet Koala.
Saturday, December 19, 2020: Well I thought it would be nice to do an update considering it's nearly been a week. Tedsy is still with us at the age of 29! He got to watch "National Lampoons Christmas Vacation" on December 17th, "Home Alone" (1, 2, &3) yesterday December 18th, and got carted around in my pocket several places today with myself and my Mom. I am really enjoying having him around this long! I hope he stays into the New Year!!! Yesterday at 11:46AM I hatched a white/green/red buttons P2 Tam. I had been planning to hatch this one for the last week and finally did it. Tonmarutchi got to enjoy the 3 movies last night as well! And he also came along for the errands today. He's only a Tonmarutchi and has but 50% discipline. It feels like a *while* since I hatched a P2... As I look at my history the last P2 I ran was actually Mimitchi Tama who is in stasis at the moment....!
Monday, December 21, 2020: I am sad to report that Tedsy passed away this morning at the age of 31. :( I mistakingly let his health drop below 95 and I couldn't get it back to where it needed to be in time. He was so sweet and peaceful looking on the angel screen. I thought things over a little and decided I'm not ready to let go of my Koala just yet... So I restarted my Komputer Koala, named him Tedsy again and he is just a tiny little bear on the screen. I am hoping to keep this one around for longer. I really wish he hadn't left when he did.... It will take about 5 days for him to be fully grown again. I just love this virtual pet a lot for some reason. My P2 is now a Tongaritchi and has 25% discipline! I think that I'm going to try for the "secret character"...! Last night Tedsy and Tongaritchi got to watch the movie "The Santa Claus". Though I was extremely tired and fell asleep in the midst of watching, and then Tongaritchi went to bed with the lights left on. I woke up around 12:45AM and turned his lights out. I think we will watch more Christmas movies this evening....!
Wednesday, December 23, 2020: Tedsy and Tongaritchi have been involved in everything the last couple of days. Last night we brought gifts over to Laura, John and Donald and it was wonderful. I gave Donald "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" and I think he really loves it. We will definitely be playing together over the holiday season. :) I will have to possibly take a little break from "Stardew Valley" depending on how much I see Donald. They got to watch "I'll be Home for Christmas" and "Elf" on December 21st, and last night we watched "The Night before Christmas" and "Miracle on 34th Street". Today we chatted on FaceTime with China over in Toronto and now Matt's doing a haircut for a client. I am not sure what we have planned for this evening but I really hope it will be low key and relaxing. Later 3:40PM: I am not having much luck at all when it comes to GigaPet's. :( I just dropped my Komputer Koala on the floor and the screen went completely dead. Matthew managed to bring it back for me but it reset. He came into the room and named him Buddy for me but the screen has faded in and out a few times since then... GigaPet's go for such high prices nowadays, and there is no even guaranteeing that they will even work upon purchasing them. It's not 1997 anymore and I just feel like I'm holding onto something that will never be what it was sometimes. I have very few GigaPet's compared to Tamagotchi. But even some of my most rare Tamagotchi's have defects. :( I'm extremely saddened by this. Christmas is a hard enough time as it is and I've been *trying* to make the best of it. If my Komputer Koala doesn't make it through the next few days without reseting then it will be joining the defunct shelf with the Floppy Frog and Bitty Kitty. :-( Much Later: While we were eating dinner I heard my Tongaritchi changing. I had a really good feeling I'd get Zukitchi and I did. :) I can't wait to get the secret character!!! Buddy and Zukitchi got to watch "The Night Before"... Funny movie but a bit crazy and not really much about Christmas at all.
Tuesday, December 29, 2020: It has been a wonderful Christmas holiday for everyone. Everyone in our household got to enjoy it together and I'm truly thankful. Buddy, my Komputer Koala has been doing just fine. I've had no issues since Tibb's eve when it reset on me. Buddy is 5 years of age today! And my P2 who I had Zukitchi on changed into the "secret character", Zatchi. Buddy and Zatchi were with me all throughout today when I was spending time with my God Child, Donald. They got to take a walk with us, have lunch from McDonalds, visit Game Exchange (video game store), play Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and everything else that Donald and I did during the day. :) I bought "Luigi's Mansion 3" today at Game Exchange and Matt and I are playing it together now. We are going to play through the same file together and take turns! Matt is way better at it than I am so Buddy and Zatchi have been watching along with us for the last 40 or so minutes. :) 9:50PM: Buddy went to sleep shortly after 9PM and Zatchi is still awake watching Matthew play more of "Luigi's Mansion 3". It's a great game for sure and I don't regret spending the money on it. :) |
